Military Women’s Memorial Strive for 500 Campaign

Calling all New Mexico women who have served in the U.S. Military!

The New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services proudly supports the Military Women’s Memorial Strive for 500 Campaign—a nationwide effort to honor the legacy of women in uniform by preserving their stories.

We need you to represent New Mexico, as each state is challenged to register at least 500 women Veterans. Our state is home to thousands of incredible servicewomen, and their legacies deserve to be remembered by their families and all of New Mexico.

For more than 30 years, the Military Women’s Memorial has collected names, photos, service records, and personal experiences of women who answered the call to serve. This permanent archive is the only one of its kind, ensuring “HERstory” is recognized as an essential part of America’s story.

It is free and simple to register and be counted. If you are a woman and have served in our military or know one, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of the free registration with the Military Women’s Memorial. By joining the “Strive for 500” effort, you can help shine a light on women’s service, inspire future generations of New Mexicans, and make sure these stories live on forever.
