Celebrate Women Veterans Recognition Day

Thursday, June 12, 2025, 4:00 – 8:00pm, at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial

The event, which will be held on the museum’s back patio, will feature music, food, and a showing of the film The Six Triple Eight.

Celebrated each year on June 12 in recognition of the anniversary of the 1948 Women’s Armed Services Integration Act signing, 2025 is the 77th anniversary of that groundbreaking legislation for America’s military women. That legislation granted women a permanent place and an opportunity for a career in the nation’s military. This special day is designated to honor America’s military women, past and present!

NMDVS, Tribute to Women in the Military, American Legion Riders, and many Veteran Organizations have come together to help celebrate this historic day.
