State Benefits Division

The Benefits Division oversees state-funded veterans’ benefits and our state veterans’ cemeteries and the Angel Fire Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

New Mexico offers a wide range of state benefits for our veterans and their families.  This includes property tax exemptions, educational scholarships, free and reduced-fee hunting and fishing licenses, and specialty license plates.  For a more comprehensive list of state benefits, eligibility requirements, and applications, please click here or on the State Veteran Benefits link below.   Veterans and their family members can find assistance with state benefits by contacting our main office at the address and number below or by contacting one of our local field offices across the state and speaking with a Veteran Service Officer.  Please click here for a list of our field offices.
