Office Operating Status During COVID-19

NMDVS is Now Open!

Agency offices have re-opened and are now serving the public on an appointment only basis.  

Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm beginning Monday, July 12.

For this re-opening phase, veterans or their eligible dependents need to make an appointment prior to their visit. All unvaccinated veterans or their family members who visit a DVS office or facility must wear a protective facemask.   

Please do not come to your appointment if any of the following are true:

(1) you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days; or

(2) you have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms in the last 48 hours (e.g., fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, chills/repeated shaking, a loss of taste or smell); or 

(3) in the last 14 days, you have had contact with someone with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, is under investigation for COVID-19, or is ill with any other respiratory illness.

NMDVS will offer teleservices or otherwise reschedule appointments for those who fall into one of these three categories.  All visitors whose appointments are anticipated to last more than 30 minutes may be required to complete a questionnaire to verify a “no” response to the above statements.
