 co Department of Veterans Services (DVS) will begin a two-week daily curbs
 ide property tax certificate drive-up service in Albuquerque from April 19
 -23 from 1pm-4pm in the parking lot of its northeast heights office at 520
 1 Eagle Rock NE.</p>\n<p>The service continues April 26-30 from 9am-noon.<
 /p>\n<p>DVS staff\, wearing safety masks in adherence to ongoing state COV
 ID-19 safety protocol\, will provide curbside “car hop-style” service for 
 the filing of the state veterans property tax exemption or property waiver
  for Bernalillo County veterans or unmarried surviving spouses of veterans
 . The veteran’s property tax exemption is a $4\,000 reduction off the taxa
 ble value of the primary residence of a veteran or unmarried surviving spo
 use of a veteran. Veterans rated by the VA with a 100% service-connected p
 ermanent-and-total disability can have their property tax liability waived
 .</p>\n<p>Veterans living in Bernalillo County may also be entitled to a $
 2\,000 “head of household” exemption offered by the county.</p>\n<p>DVS st
 aff will print the necessary certificates needed while the veteran or unma
 rried surviving spouse of a veteran remain in their vehicles—who must wear
  a safety mask while being served by DVS staff.</p>\n<p>Veterans and survi
 ving spouses of veterans must bring a copy of the veterans’ DD-214\, proof
  of residency\, and if claiming a disabled veteran tax waiver\, the VA awa
 rd letter stating 100% permanent and total disability.</p>\n<p> </p>\n\n		</
